Course Overview

The Grounded Presence stage is a time of body-mind readiness before stepping into nature. Having gone through earlier learning and reflection, children integrate breathing, rhythm, balance, and awareness at this stage, equipping their bodies and minds as they prepare to meet a broader natural environment.

In open water, children practice long-distance swimming across multiple strokes, apply self-rescue strategies, and refine their environmental judgment. They learn to remain steady amid uncertainty and aware within freedom. Grounded Presence represents the ability to move in harmony with the body, mind, and nature—to flow with the current, and to remain with oneself when moving against it. With maturity and awareness, children learn to live as their true selves.

This is not merely the completion of ability, but a state of inner readiness. With reverence for and trust in nature, children learn through water how to move in flow with the world, carrying this embodied awareness into a deeper practice of life.

Core Learning Goals

  • Integrate self-rescue and open-water safety skills for real-world application.
  • Strengthen independent decision-making and calm judgment in natural environments.
  • Experience balance and clarity within both flow and resistance.
  • Cultivate physical and mental preparedness for outdoor exploration.
  • Practice mindful action—living with awareness, freedom, and responsibility.

  • Instructor fees are calculated hourly and include course design, instruction, and on-site facilitation.

Concept and International Alignment

This program integrates human rights education, emotional health, and risk prevention into primary-level aquatic learning, forming a practical model that unites safety, empathy, and self-regulation. It enhances not only water safety and response capacity but also guides children in emotional regulation, social interaction, and identity development.

Anchored in Original Habitat™, the course takes natural habitats as learning environments, cultivating self-awareness, self-rescue, self-protection, and self-discipline through immersive experience, while bringing human rights education into practice in everyday life. Its framework aligns with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the WHO LIVE LIFE and INSPIRE strategies—creating a cross-cultural pathway for 21st-century children’s rights and drowning-prevention education.
